As we wrap up 2023, we reflect on months past and what lies ahead with our community’s journey.
If you recall, our Personal and Professional Development Coach, Michael “Buck” Buckley. Challenged us to pick a “Word of the Year” in January 2023. Buck asked us to look inward and consider what we need more of or what might improve our lives. The time has come to revisit our Word of the Year for 2023. To explore its impact on The Boulevard Senior Living – St. Charles. Whether you’ve been an active member or are just joining us, this retrospective journey invites us all to celebrate the past year.
At The Boulevard St. Charles, our word for 2023 was ‘cohesiveness.’ Over the past year, we have dedicated significant efforts to enhancing interdisciplinary cohesiveness. Also, fostering a sense of unity among our residents within each community. To address this objective, we are strategically merging events across communities. This approach aims to strengthen the bonds among our residents and create a more integrated and harmonious living experience.
Amidst recent changes in our leadership team, involving transferring some employees to sister communities and promoting others. We have successfully addressed these transitions by filling open positions with team members who wholeheartedly embrace our cohesive approach. This commitment is directed toward providing unwavering support to our employees, residents, and their families.
In 2024, we eagerly anticipate the sustained promotion of cohesiveness within our team and the cultivation of harmony throughout our community.

As we bid farewell to 2023, we will carry forward the essence of our Word of the Year into 2024. The successes and strides of our community, the embodiment of our chosen word in our collective actions, are not just markers in time but a testament to the strength of this community.
