Staff became more aligned and more willing to collaborate because they understood how their work supported shared goals. This clarity proved especially valuable during periods of department head transition. A unified sense of purpose helped keep the team steady, supportive, and engaged. Departments stepped in for one another more often, coordinated more effectively during events, and maintained strong cohesion through change.
The most important lesson we gained was the value of staying intentional about both customer service and team morale. When team members feel supported, connected, and confident in their roles, the care they provide is elevated. Looking ahead, we remain committed to investing in our team and creating opportunities for them to feel valued and heard. A strong team directly enhances the experience we deliver to residents.
